"As her children went through the system, Sue sought to raise the profile of their schools and ensure that those running them maintained a vital, energetic environment that encouraged all children to excel. What emerged was a strong, clearly defined leader in our community, a woman asked to be on municipal committees, who attended conferences on education with Ministers and Deputy Ministers, and who was listened to and respected for her opinion.  Over the years, she won the respect of teachers, principals, parents, students and school trustees.
I work in the field of education as a teacher and vice-principal and I very much respect what Sue knows, the questions she asks and the intelligent risks she takes.   She has won awards for her service to the City of Mississauga.  I have no hesitation in supporting Sue in whatever she chooses to undertake for I know that the tasks are current and need her attention.”
